Detailing the wheelwells

I`m going to detail the wheelwells on the car, what I`m planing to do is remove the wheels spray everything in engine cleaner, brush and wash off all the muck. I`m going to use meg nxt protectant on the inside of the arches to protect the plastic.



Will this be durable enough or should I be useing something else?
