If I clay and hit the car with VM will it remove all the stuff listed in the thread title? Or am I going to need to hit it with SSR 1 and then the VM?

My *opinion* is that it will depend on how the VM is applied. Anything more than a hand application with light pressure using a MF app and you will start removing stuff.

It would be with the PC with a white LC pad or a green (slightly more abrasive than the white but less than the orange) LC pad around speed 5

I missed the part about the clay. I think the combination of abrasives will remove the products that exist. For sure with the use of the PC for application.

Cool, going to try a new 3 step tomorrow, VM, FP, UPP

I don`t think anyone can tell for sure if VM will remove what is on the car completely. I have no idea how you`d even determine it.

Well it has some abrasives, I might hit it with SSR 1 just to be safe.

I always get paint coming off onto the applicator pad when I use it by hand on my single stage painted car.

Indicative of some good cleaning going on.

Why the VM and then the FP? It seems to be following a cleaner/glaze with a polish that would remove the effect of the glaze.

Ya :) It was just my indirect way of suggesting that vm would probably remove everything that you put on the paint. ;)
