Boy am I tired, but these details came out great IMO, so I`ll throw em up...

Left my house at 7:3o and didn`t return until 9:15pm this evening. Queens is a far trip from me but the payoff was worth it. My camera`s disc died last night so I used my sisters 5.1 MP HP camera instead today.

First up, 2002 Maxima. Full body kit, drop, 19" rims, stereo, etc. The paint was reasonably swirled and had a TON of bonded contaminants. I spend a lot of time claying which tipped the clock a little past where I wanted to be. The interior was pretty simple so no need for pics, but the exterior consisted of the following:

-NXT Wash

-PB Clay with NXT Wash lube

-The Big "O" polish with a LC Cutting pad via rotary @ 1500 rpm

-The Big "O" polish with a LC Polishing pad via rotary @ 1500 rpm

-Menzerna FPII with a LC Polishing pad via rotary @ 1500 rpm

-UPP by hand spit shined with OCW

-Rims/tires/wells cleaned with Eagle One Pro Wheel Cleaner

-Rims sealed with AIO/OCW

-Poorboy`s BnB on tires

-Meguiar`s Hyper Dressing in wells

-Flitz and #0000 Steel wool on exhaust

-NXT Glass Cleaner on windows

Notice the dullness all of the contaminants brought to the surface

This is after washing, claying, drying...notice the amount of swirling

Up next, 2000 Durango.

This won took the cake for the dirtiest exterior I`ve done. The rims/tires/wells took cleaning x 3 and still were not perfect. I have also NEVER picked up soo many contaminants on any vehicle. A combination of IFO, brake dust, overspray, etc made for a sandpapery finish. This is the first time claying has made a signifigant optical difference from a distance. Anyways, interior was remarkably neat (just lightly soiled and dusty), so no pics there. Finals on the exterior:

-NXT Wash

-PB Clay with NXT Wash as lube

-Menzerna FPII via rotary and LC Polishing pad @ 1500 rpm

-Meguiar`s #20 Polymer Sealant (thanks to 1 Clean WS6 for using this on the silver 350z last week...looked AMAZING on silver)

-Rims/Tires/Wells cleaned with Eagle 1 Pro Wheel Cleaner x 3

-Tires, wells, and mudflaps dressed with Meguiar`s Hyper Dressing cut 2.5:1

-PB Trim Restorer on black plastic

-Flitz on the headlights

-NXT Glass Cleaner on windows

Please excuse the wheel wells that would not come 100% clean :(

In`t that just the Anniversary package on the Max?

Looks great. I`m a fan of the previous generation Maximas.

Nope, thats the Stillen Classic lip. The AE kit only came on the 2001 Maximas.

Off topic: What kind of rotary do you use? YOu use alot of Menzerna products. Is this b/c you find them superior to everything else, easier to use, cheaper, buy it bulk? Just looking for some clarfication on product selection.

AWESOME WORK!

Nice job on the details, I don`t know how you do it, i`m the same age and have been getting really tired and run down lately. I`m gonna schedule an appointment to get a blood work done :sosad , lets hope for the best.

Anyway on a better note, you really came through with the Max and Durango, they look awesome :bow . I guess your name is going around maxima.org, 2nd Max in the same week ;) "Big O" is referring to Optimum? Which SSR would you say is Optimum closest to in terms of cut? I`ve been seeing a lot of talk of this product lately, but have so many new polishes to try out as it is :D

Thanks all...I`m exhausted so I`m gonna hit the shower, then bed, but I`ll answer the Q`s first.

JJ: Makita 9227. Yup, Menzerna polishes are the only ones time after time that come through with flawless finishes while using the rotary. They are a touch more pricey than others, but well worth it.

Johnny: Big "O" is Optimum yes...holland_patrick called it that last night and I liked it. I`d say its closest in cut to SSR2 but can be varied with the pad you use. It works for a LONG time and finishes damn near flawless on softer paints and flawless on harder paints. It has replaced my Menzerna IP since it doesn`t dust up :).

Thanks Raveendra :up
