From time to time I get a customer that wants a quick one step rather than a full detail. I will admitt some paints will do fine with a one step in excellant condition. What are your favorites? Gary

My fav 1 stepper is Autoglym Super Resin Polish, It has polishing ability but lasts like a sealer.

On dark colors, Hi-Temp`s Midnight Express is excellent. For other colors Hi-Temp`s Paint Perfection Glaze is also a great product.

Meguiars #66 hands dwon IMHO. I also like PWC if working in the sun.

Gary, if you want to try the HT Paint perfection glaze PM me. I can`t make it work for me, but you are welcome to it.

I too like Autoglym`s SRP. No real cut (not quite nonabrasive) and not as good a cleaner as AIO, but it hold up pretty well all by itself and it`s very user-friendly. Hides a little more stuff than AIO too.

And yeah, the 1Z MP and their Wax Polish Soft are good one steps with just a little cut.

Meg`s #66 is aka "Quick Detailer". Only comes in gallons IIRC. I see I was too slow in posting that....

Top of the Line is the online distributor of Hi-Temp products.

I`d have to say AIO. It will probably last longer than any other one-step product out there. It cleans real well too. If you don`t want a sealant. I would suggest Mother`s Carnauba Cleaner Wax.

1Z WaxPolish Soft by far or Mother`s Cleaner/Wax.

Both will work very well but the surface must be in pretty good shape.

is an all-in-one cleaner/polish/wax with more aggressive cutting compared to their other cleaner/waxes like #6 (#66 gets a 4 on their scale like #80).

Not to be confused with

http://meguiars.com/estore/images/product_a33.gif (#33) Quik Detailer (http://meguiars.com/estore/product_detailpage.cfm?product=Quik-Detailer&sku=A-33) which is the classic QD.

I wonder what bright boy in marketing came up with that brilliant scheme?
