I`ve tried Picasa2 and Adobe Photoshop but can`t find what I`m looking for.

All I want to do is rub out the license plate from my photos so I can post some new pics. What do you guys use?

Photoshop - although it does take some learning. A simple fix in photoshop is to select the area around the plate and then use the smudge tool (you can`t smudge anything outside the selection) or right-click "fill" and then select a colour.

you can also select the area you want to get rid of and try one of the many filters that come with photoshop

Try Windows` Paint, and use the Airbrush tool (the little spray can in the tools menu) to spray over the license plate.

I`ve never understood why people won`t post pics w/ their plate. LOL! Do they drive around with it covered as well? I swear more people see it in 10 minutes on the road than do on here.

Because the internet is full of people that will try to cause trouble in one way or another. At least in traffic, most people are just trying to get from point A to point B and give little attention to license plates or anything else that can provide personal information. Would you post a picture of your driver`s license online? After all, it is frequently shown to complete strangers as identification. ;)

I use the blur tool in Macromedia Fireworks but, should work the same in Photoshop.

It has been a while since I used Photoshop (I use Paint Shop Pro 9) so I cannot remember if the same tools are available, but I use either:

-selection box and then "smudge" the license plate

-scratch remover

-selection box with a filter

you can just use the smudge tool

or

select the box around the license plate and fill it with the white paint bucket.
