I picked this car up last wednesday, but had to wait until Sunday to detail it. I did the following:

Exterior:

Washed

Clay

Poorboys SSR1 with PC(didnt need any real polishing)

Klasse AIO(body and wheels)

P21S wax

NXT Tire Shine(wanted to try it, a little too shiny for me)

Interior:

Vacuumed Carpets

Steamcleaned Carpets

Lexol on Seats

303

Here are the results:

Yea I really like this car. At first I didnt think I would like the red interior, but the more I see it the more I like it. Traded in my 00 m5 for it, and I think I like this one even more than the m5. Its alot more fun to drive.

I really like the color matched trim. No black trim to stain or worry about. Its all painted so I can just wax right over it.

Yea, each person in my family has a BMW. The 328i is my wifes, the 325is is my sons and the 323ci is my daughters. You can actually see the 323ci behind the M3 and the 325is in the garage. I didnt plan on having that many, but it just kind of happened.

WOW you traded in an M5 for an M3?! Seeing your list, I`d probably pick two of the other 3`s and trade that in for the M3 and keep the M5. There, you would have two of the most awesomest cars in the world; Nevertheless, congrats on your purchase!

It is roughly as fast as the M5, but this one seems faster because power comes at such high RPMs(red line is 8000).

The M5, power came at low RPMs so the engine was never really loud. With this one, the engine screams when accelerating hard.

I like this sportyness of this car. The m5 was more focused on luxury. This car is more fun to drive, but isnt quite as comfortable.

I had to get rid of the M5 because the maintenance costs were becoming ridiculous. The engine was burning oil very fast. By the end I was adding a quart of oil every 1000km. There was carbon buildup in the engine that needed to be cleaned, at a cost of $2000. And that would be a recurring cost unless the engine could be fixed. I also needed new tires, which would have been another $2000. The drivetrain also needed to be replaced according to BMW, I didnt even ask about the cost of that. Then there was alot of small things that would have needed to be replaced. This was after spending nearly $5000 already this year fixing the car.

They do get expensive, but once everything is all working and you are out driving, it all seems to be worth it.

Great looking car...welcome to the M3 club...and the Red interior will never get old.....I`m still amazed that everyone that sees my imola interior compliments it...not a negative comment yet.
