Hi gang. First off, I want to thank everyone here as I`ve learned a ton of info from this forum. :up

And this info lead me to buy a PC :D, Edge 2K pads, SSR2.5 and SSR1 (already had the NXT and microfibers).

So my adventure started with a wash and clay. Then I hit it with an Edge green pad w/ SSR2.5. It was a little hazy afterwards. I then tried the blue pad w/ SSR2.5 and didn`t notice any difference between the 2 pads. So basically I did the whole car with the finer texture blue pad and SSR2.5 and followed up with the white polishing pad and SSR1 (this combo was awesome...removed all hazing and looked like glass). NXT was used afterward (applied by hand).

Anyway, here`s some before and after pics of my `04 daily driver Boxster S.

Before...under fourescent light and camera flash acid test:

After (under same conditions). It could be even better I`m sure, but I`m happy (didn`t want to dig into the clear too much).

After, out in direct sunlight:

Excellent detail and a very nice shiny car!

What speeds did you use for the different polishes?

Looks like a nice improvement, please do share speeds used.

I assume from the close up pics that this is non-metallic black, correct? Car looks great, especially those brakes! Of course you probably didn`t have to polish them. Looking good.

Good job. I`m sure you`re going to improve as you work more and more with those products.

That`s a very nice car you got there. Try toppin` it with a `nuba!

Awesome job. I like the look of the NXT on black. It looks great on all dark colored vehicles.

NXT does look good on black....:up

I just put a coat of Poorboys EX on my black 350Z last night and was very impressed with the results. Can`t wait to top with Souveran.

Thanks everyone for the props. :xyxthumbs

To answer a few questions:

1. I used 5 on the PC for the polishes. I tried 6 but didn`t notice a difference. The biggest difference is that my left hand was going numb hanging onto the PC`s handle on 6. :)

2. Yes, the car is non-metallic black. I tried metallic once with my old Cosmos Black M3. It could never get that deep black. Even when clean it looked dusty. I think metallics look nicer on lighter colors.

3. I will try topping with some `nuba one of these days. But right now I`m totally satisfied. I don`t want to get too addicted. :D

4. Yes, the wheels came with the car. They are the optional 18" Carrera Lightweights. 18x7.5 fronts @ 21lbs and 18x9 rears @ 23lbs.
