Alrighty, right after I purchased the new Jeep the yahoos washed it, effectively swirling my brand-spanking new plastic windows. I know it`s inevitable, but it still sucks for it being so new. I already ordered the Zaino plastic cleaner in hopes of it helping some, but I have no other ideas beyond that. Any other ideas you guys have for helping them out?

I`m sure the windows are likely not-fixable, but I figure I might as well give it a try.

The Zaino plastic cleaner was hard as heck to remove. It smeared like crazy. Did I not let it sit long enough?

I used this on a Z3 that was so clouded you couldn`t see out of it. Well, it looks brand new now and I used those three products.

Well I tried the Zaino plastic polish and let it dry for about 30 minutes. I removed it and then put on Plexus. It did nothing for the swirls.

Meg`s PlastX should do the trick. If it doesn`t, maybe try SSR1? The Zaino plastic polish is made more for chemically removing contaminants, rather than cutting swirls. Think of it as AIO for plastic, whereas PlastX is more of a SMR, with diminishing abrasives. You might be able to get PlastX locally, its a consumer line product. I got mine at a local Advance Autoparts.

Good luck.

Thou shalt not let the dealer wash your car. I had to throw a fit with mine and get it in writing that they wouldn`t do so before I picked up my new car. I feel your pain. :(

Try Novus plastic cleaner/polish. I`ve heard good things about it. I`ve used Meguiars but only on things like the plastic gauge covers and stereo head unit`s plastic facing.

Good luck.

Alrighty, I`ve abandoned the thought of fixing my windows for awhile, but with winter coming I figure I better get on top of this. I`m going to start seeking out these recommended products at my local stores before ordering online, and trying that. I"ll keep you all posted!

Just curious, would Zaino Fusion help?

I have some NOVUS... this stuff is a miracle. Its a 3 step heavy polish, light polish, and a cleaner/protect. It really does wonders with swirls and fogging. Its a pain to find but its great..

BTW I found it locally at "The Container Store" near the check out.

I would say its worth it. Also used it on my ipod++++++ great :2thumbs:
