What is SSR2.15? It is what you get when you have 2 black vehicles with light to moderate swirls and scratches but only enough SSR2.5 to do one of them and your DACP pad isn`t looking too good. Take what is left of the 2.5 and mix it into a 1/3rd full bottle of SSR2, shake like mad and use. :) Necessity is the mother of invention!

As you can see, combined with a Meguiars polishing pad, it worked well on these light scratches, courtesy of the local tunnel car wash. I used a Meguiars polishing pad. You can see the light scratches on the right hand side of the picture. Yes, I did clean the residue out of the star.

Finished the ML off with Meguiar`s NXT Paste Wax and a blue Propel pad. I really, really like the paste version. Looks deeper and wetter and sets up for removal much more quickly than the liquid version.

1998 BMW 740Li. I used the same SSR2.15 creation, again with a Meguiars polishing pad and finished with Long Haul`s Polish/Wax using a white polishing pad (not sure of the brand, got it from another Autopian a while back). I wanted to use LH on a vehicle I see regularly so I can see how it holds up. Looks pretty good, especially for a relatively unknown retail level product.

==============

I thought I`d toss in this pic of Collinite 870 beading at the 3 week point. :)

2004 Mercedes SL500. First time I`ve done one of the new ones. Pretty sweet car!

I used Poorboy`s SSR2.5 with a Meguiars polishing pad on some trunk lid scratches, then Klasse AIO with a Meguiars polishing pad and finished with Poorboy`s EX-P+ by hand.

Great work as always:xyxthumbs

I wonder what you would get if you

mixed 1 part SSR2.5 with 2-3 parts SSR1?

Would that be more like SSR2.5-1, or SSR1.25?:D

The early MLs were especially bad. I`ve done a Cavalier with less orange peel. How sad is that? :p

I usually use some SSR2 on half the pad then SSR2.5 on the other now since I`m running low on SSR2.5. I have to order some more, but this time I`m bumping up to SSR3 in some places.

Nice job Scott.

Is the headlight on the 740 busted ?

That SL is really sweet, I wouldn`t mind having that vehicle in my garage

:bow Superb!

I would have used SSR2.075 though, I find the SSR2.15 a bit strong. ;)

FANTASTIC work Scott!! :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

I saw an SL55 (the AMG version of the SL500) in traffic the other day...black with those same chrome rims. It was swirled to pieces so as I passed the guy I honked my horn...gave him a thumbs and up and said out the window "You need to call me". ;) Those cars are just soooo sweet!!

What do you expect?! They`re built in friggin` Alabama!!!:p

Seriously, ML`s have never been up to par with the other MB`s quality wise.

BTW, do you ever detail inexpensive cars? All the cars I see you post seem to north of fifty grand! I drool all over my keyboard everytime I see your posts!:D
