I`ve been searching for 00-01 Maximas for quite some time now. Given all the options/color/mileage and price I wanted, I think it would be almost impossible to find the exact car I wanted. With that in mind I`m willing to make some compromises. So the beginning of this week, I see a very big Nissan dealer in the town over had a couple of Maximas. So I look online(on cars.com) and see they have an 01 SE gray lustre with only 27k miles. I know its to good to be true and with the prices I`ve seen from the place b4 I figured it`d be way to much $. Anyway I was bored Monday afternoon so decided to take a ride with my bro just to check the car out. The guy like every salesperson immediately starts dropping a hundred questions on me when I just wanted to look and sit in the car. He finally got the hint and opened it up for me. It was pretty nice, I really liked the paint had awesome flake and was in pretty good shape. Even though it didn`t have leather the cloth wasn`t bad at all. At this point i`m not goin to go crazy for leather. Only thing I didn`t like was no sunroof  . So anyway we sneak out while the guy is with another customer and I`m looking at their website later that night. That Max was going for $16,900. I decide just for fun to make an online offer of $13k and of course someone responds me back tellin me they have other Maximas. With that I decided to continue my search.

Well today I wanted to get the value of it and while i`m on the site noticed they dropped the price to $14,900. At this point im done looking for cars and if I can get this car down to $13-14 I think i`m just going to buy it. Hopefully it won`t go anywhere cuz this weekend I`m busy but after Tuesday I`ll be officially done with school;)

Just though i`d share a little afternoon excitement.

I looked at both of them Prinz. The 02-03 w/ HID was more in insurance due to where I live. I`m really not crazy for the teal color, I`m mainly lookin for the gray lustre, but i`d take a sterling mist. The second I remember being pretty beat up looking in the inside. You can tell the second one had HIDs but must of had them stolen because its got 00-01 headlights in it.

Hey, good luck with your search. I`m sure that you`ll be very pleased with your purchase once you find the right Maxima.

Looks good...As long as you won`t regret not having the 30 extra more or less horses or so under the hood of the 02 +

Bob: I think it runs in my family but were all slow drivers, and since I got into an accident last year, I`m extra cautious now. I think having the 00-01 Maxima would be more then enough power for me.

I forgot you are in NJ and they swipe the HIDs like crazy over there. Yeah, insurance will kill you big time.

Speaking of a Maxima search, I think I have found mine as well.

Awesome hope everything goes well for the both of us. Those Titanium Maxs are so hot, I just love that color on any car. There was one under the classifieds on maxima.org that was in NY, seemed pretty nice and a decent price, I just didn`t like all the aftermarket stuff they put on it.

Maximas are a great car

I really liked my 99 Max except for having to pay extra for premium unleaded with todays gas prices

I was looking at the link again seeing if it had anything about a warranty and saw I get a free carfax with the vehicle. So I click the link and see it was leased to some sort of fleet. What exactly does this mean and should be I concerned about it?

Heres the link

If it doesn`t work you can click the link in my first post and click Free Carfax History Report.

Thanks in advance for any insight.
