Well, like the topic says, what had everyone found to work best on bringing out the red?:D

As you can see I have creditability ( although I just sold her after 12 years ownership and I am going through a little withdrawel) any way. The basics are good paint prep. Since the car was mine from new it did not have a bad base ot begin with. I am assuming a 2 or third owner car. The basic mantra here is paint prep. Get a pc they are worth it. depending on how bad the paint was before depends on which abraisve you will start with. I used some 3m swirl remover with a yellow pad on a 4 setting. Next up is some meguires cyrstal polish to remove the fine scartches made by the 3 m swirl. then I like a chemical cleaner like Klasse AIO followed by sealent glaze then a layer of souvrain carnuba wax. The idea is to prep the paint with very fine abraisive to get rid of the inevitable scratches from washing and wear. then seal it with a polymer then a last stage covering for looks the wax. some people like the zaino system. I am not sure that there is one killer combo. It is about the whole system of polish seal and wax. Some here like polish glaze then wax and no polymers

Can`t much argu with that, the man sure has credibilty and klasse, I mean class. You sure take good care of your car. AIO and a good nuba would make that car bounce. I like the Zaino system too and wouldn`t hesitate to use it if durabilty was a concern and you were swirl free. I know about withdrawls, I sold a 93 Bronco and I missed it everyday. I bought three brand new cars in o4/o5 trying to replace my baby and finally I found it with my new truck. I might lose my house but it`s worth it, lol.

Proper prep and Souveran (cost is not an obstacle) for carnaubas, Carnauba Moose and #16 if cost is important and Wolfgang or EX w/carnauba if you prefer a sealant.

Post prep work: Adam`s Brilliance and Souveran if you want a wax or Clearkote RMG and EX if you want a sealant.

I`m not saying there isn`t better, I`m saying those are my favorites by a long shot.

Assuming prep work has been done to minimize paint defects, I would have to go with either:
1. Meguiar`s #26 - very inexpensive, available OTC, and has a unique "darkening" quality. After all the boutique products I have tried, my wife *always* wants #26 on her red Focus.
2. Souveran Paste Wax - High in initial cost, but deep look is unmatched.
