Hi,

I just opened a new shrink wrapped pack of 3m Clay (blue in colour) and when I tried to tear a piece off I noticed it was difficult to do, and that in fact the piece actually `snapped` off, almost brittle.

I kneeded the piece and rolled it, and then flattened it, however it would not stretch, it simply would snap or crumble. I guess this clay is out of date and totally dried out, either that or that is how 3M clay is, anyone have experience of this clay.

By the way, I could still use it, it still did its job, it just was not `elastic` in anyway. Considering taking it back for a refund depending on your opinions, thanks.

Have you tried to warm it up?

I use clay magic blue and it can be hard work unless warmed up first.

OK everyone thanks for the confirmation.

Every other clay bar I have tried has been `stretchable`, however not this 3M, and this being the first time I had used 3M branded clay made me think it was either the clay being faulty in some way, or that is the way 3M clay is usually.

A trip back to the local shop then :)
