View Full Version : Hows this combination on Silver?

After reading lots about the various products, i decided to take the plunge and order some `proper` cleaning polishes and waxes etc.

Ive already got a few decent products like P21s wax and some #16 but so far have been applying the P21s over NXT.

Ive now ordered some Car-lack68 (Klasse AIO), some Poorboys EX with carnuba and intend to top these off with either the P21s or #16.

I have a pretty good shine on my silver vectra already but without trying different combinations of products, how do i know it cant be bettered?

Will my above combination work well on Silver, and which wax would be the best to apply (p21s or #16)?

Thanks in advance

Andy Suter

The P21s or #16 would look good over the EX. If it were me i`d probably use the P21s. If your that bent on what to use you can do half P21s half #16 and see which one you like the most.

I find P21S and #16 to be quite similar on silver. I prefer the #16 myself. I agree with JohnnyDaJackal, do a comparison and see which you prefer. It`ll be a close call.

Welcome to Autopia Andy :xyxthumbs

As long as the paint is fully prepared by polishing I think you would be happy with either wax. The P21S is very easy to use but does not last a very long time.

Welcome over here Andy.

Sinced moved on too, got a Black Clio 182 now.

My fave combo on silver was AG SRP, EGP and then P21s, but am currently going with Carlack 68 x 2 and 1z Glanz wax on my family`s silver cars. Great depth and gloss. Worth a try sometime IMO.

thanks rich (and everyone else), ive looked everywhere for 1z glanz wax in the uk but have had no luck so far.

I`ll try my combo above and see what results.

Ive just added a layer of #16 (first time ive used it), over a NXT/P21s combo and ive never seen it looking so good, so i think i`ll dump the p21s and use #16

Im spending a fortune on products at the minute so i`ll to draw the line at some point :p

I think the #16 is more durable than P21s. They both have a similar look, and both look great, but I would go with the durability.

My recommendation would be to go with the P21S. IMO, it`s a higher quality carnauba compared to the Meg`s #16.

Not flaming, but why do you think P21S is a higher quality carnauba? Both go on and off very easy if applied thin, and both give awesome results? Is the higher quality in the packaging?

Just wondering your side.
