Did you try a less intense process first? I`ve cleared up a lot of headlights with just a couple quick applications of Mothers Plastic Polish. I would think the SSR2.5 and the yellow pad followed by PlastX would do the trick.
Great job nonetheless! They sure look way better than before. Now keep them protected with a sealant so that they won`t return to that faded state again.

Yeah, I used the Meguiar`s 3 step crystal system on mine and it worked great. I don`t think you have to get too aggressive with them for it to turn out nice. Nice job though.

Weird how your headlights got like that. I had a 1988 Mustang that had clear headlights up until the day I sold her in 2003. Nice job on the clean up, and the write up.

 how did they get so bad? is your stang constantly outside or something? my `89 headlights got cloudy, but i don`t think it was that bad.
but yeah, they came out great. maybe you might want to try some AIO on them, acrylic protection and stuff. :)

I`m wondering how they got so bad too. I had a 00` up until just a few months ago and they were still clear when I sold it. No garage either.
