After seeing a few members recommend this really awesome little platform, I just had to get one. I don`t know how I`ve gone so long without it!?!?

I paid $49.00 for it from Ace Hardware. I`m sure it would be cheaper if you go to Home Depot or something but I was already there and I wanted it.

Now I don`t have to stand on the doorjams anymore to reach rooftops! :o

Nice :xyxthumbs

I`ve got the same one (or very similar) from Home Depot made by Gorilla. I paid like $28.

Works like a champ. You`re going to love it.

Accumulator has a really nice one from Amazon.com that is like $100+. It`s top notch.

$100?!?! Geesh, what does that thing do?? LOL

What is the weight rating on your Gorilla brand? Mine is 225. I`m asking because I figure the higher the weight rating, the better the quality. Just curious.

WOW..I might have to check out HD for one of these. I detailed my 4Runner today and climbing into the door jambs to work on the roof was a major PITA.

Great idea for $28 :up

My uncle showed me one of those a few weeks ago. He said he got it at Menards for $25.00. It was black aluminum. I stood on it to reach his roof when he wanted me to see how bad the swirls were up there.

I`m going to get one of those too.

Yeah, I have a pair of the ones Spilchy linked to. I like the added size (easier to work on, less moving them around). But hey, I indulge myself when it comes to this stuff and I use it for other tasks too.

If you guys can get by with the size of those smaller platforms, then yeah, they look like a great bargain. Put some non-slip stuff on the top surface. You do *not* want to be working on wet, smooth aluminum ;) Most big-box places sell adhesive backed non-slip material in a variety of dimensions.

I use one of these: Rubbermaid Step Stool (http://www.acehardware.com/sm-rubbermaid-folding-two-step-step-stool--pi-1287578.html)

The treads are dimpled so they`re non-slip. It weighs nothing and wont scratch paint. Holds up to 300 lb.

I paid $14.98 at WM Last year

I am certainly going to do this. I think I might see if there`s something I can paint on like on handicap ramps and stuff. You`re right, the last thing I want to do is lose my footing while using a rotary and falling into a $40k+ vehicle! Aside from the fact how bad that would hurt....ouch.
