What would be a safe approach to do this? Would using an aggressive polish take it off? I really don`t want to use something like lighter fluid. Here`s some info about the situation:

A person called one of those digger hotline numbers and one of those locater people came out to locate stuff. In the process he used that pink/orange paint on the grass and on the road to mark where stuff was. It was a windy day, and some of the paint got sprayed on the car. While not directly sprayed on the vehicle, you can tell there are some areas that are on the paint.

Most manufacturers colorize the plastic to identify differing strengths (abrasiveness) colour (i.e. Clay Magic Blue is a fine abrasive, whereas the Red is a medium abrasive,

a)Fine- clay that pulls or shears off the imbedded paint contamination and encapsulates it.

b)Medium- clay is used to remove paint over-spray; it contains an abrasive that abrades, while the clay encapsulates it

You could try Clay to get it off . A cutting type polish may get it off . It all depends on how bad it is . Paint thinner would work to . Try the clay first .

III- Yeah, one more vote for the clay. People recommend all sorts of solvents, but the clay is very safe and "no harm done" if it doesn`t work.

IIRC, there have been a few recent threads on this subject, might be worth a search. Said threads had posts about the various solvents people sometimes resort to using.
