Yep, I`m sad to report that after washing my car and detailing the engine bay today (1st time for the ES), I noticed the first layer of greenish-yellow pollen. Looks like this will be part of our first local detailing meet as well. :(

Well I guess we had to pay a price for 80 degrees and sun today. :)

It has been on the coast for several weeks. I washed my car yesterday and immediately pulled it into the garage; when I pulled out this afternoon, it was covered in pollen.

Yup, I walked out of work today only to find that greenish yellow crap on my black paint. The worst part is that you don`t even want to roll down your windows and enjoy the nice weather.

I noticed this today too Lee. I detailed a white Tahoe this morning so I really didn`t notice it but my afternoon appointment was a navy blue XJ8. I did my routine and after I dressed the last tire I saw the layer of pollen begining to form. :angry

For the next 30-45 days my California Duster will be my best friend.

It`s been going strong here for a couple weeks now. I have one customer who has live oaks all over his property. He said I can park in his garage when I am cleaning his cars so mine doesn`t get blanketed in pollen.

I live on the perimeter of our largest city park which is full of very large oak trees and I can wash my car in the morning and it will be covered in green by that afternoon. It`s been like this for the last 4-6 weeks or so.

The dreaded chartreuse dust month has just started here.

When it is completed, I will have about 2 large trash cans full of oak flowers just from the area in front of my garage.

My black car is clean and hiding under the cover until the air clears.

Oaks? It is the dang pine trees around here. The live oaks are beginning to drop their leaves

Must be nice. I`m just glad we aren`t getting that "white" pollen called snow anymore.

It`s going to be at least 6 weeks before pollen is an issue up here.

Wow. I can`t believe pollen season has already started in Texas. I guess the sooner it starts the sooner it is over.

The thunder here in Alpharetta scared the daylights out of my poodle Charlie. He had his tail tucked between his legs all morning. Animals are very sensitive to thunder...

Looks like the storms are heading my way.

Lee,

Our lab went from standing in the yard with her head in the air during a t-storm to shaking, panting, and not leaving our sides. Talk about a 180º change!

my dogs were off the chain last night from all the thunder too.
