What`s the procedure for polishing a dull, uncoated, naked aluminum wheel?

1. Polish with a metal polish such as Mothers mag/aluminum polish.

2. Buff off.

Sure, but what tool can get inside a wheel? Most likely a Dremel, but what attachment should be used? The Dremel polishing pads are tiny.

You may want to try the new Mothers PowerBall:

A Dremel has a lot of uses, but as you said the pads are small and it would take forever to polish a set of wheels.

edit: I just realized I didn`t address your question/problem. Powerball works, otherwise just take the wheel off...thats what project I`m currently working on. happy days

Hey, I just made a post in another thread, you might want to check it out.

Cliff notes: 3" polishing pads for electric drill. Haven`t tried them, but sounds good, at least for my wheels.

bottom of this page, pads and pad holder needed

Hmm...would a Flitz (http://www.flitz.com) work?

Yes, it`s the same principle as the PowerBall. The PB is newer and uses foam, while the Flitz uses felt.

I haven`t seen any in my area yet. You may want to check the Mothers site for some dealers near you and give them a call:

Here is another thread with more info on the PB:

They are available at retail in the Chicago area, but under the new rules, mentioning where products are available is prohibited.

I sent you a PM with the information.
