Hey, Well since they discontinued Meguairs #16 and Im all out, I thought I would try a new wax. I wanted to know which wax would be better for a red car? From the pictures I`ve seen in Click and Brag section, it seemed that after 3 coats of Pink Wax, the reflection and depth was amazing. With natty`s it seems to have more of a wet look... For the people who have used both which would you recommend, I want something that will make the paint darker, with depth and crazy reflections. Hopefully which ever wax I buy will be just as good or better than #16.

Thanks

both are good products the FK1 probably lasts longer

To be honest, you can`t go wrong with either product. Although I did notice that the Pink wax was a little more difficult to remove in warm weather. And the Natty`s is easy no matter what the weather is like. IMO they are both premium carnaubas, but I would have to give the win light to Natty`s!:D

If I were you, I would get both and give them a try. If you don`t like one or the other, sell them in the calssifieds and they will sell immediately. Plenty of people want some PW, and you know people would take a great deal on some Natty`s!

By the way, the new Natty`s smells incredible, PW is awful.

Natty`s is terrific but Souveran also looks good on red. :)

Not IMO. I feel the PW is a universal wax. It looks very good on light colors and dark colors. And IMO a product that darkens paint usually doesn`t look good on light colors. I used CMW on my GF`s beige S-10, and it didn`t look very good. But on a dark blue or black CMW is awesome.

In my opinion, PW does darken the paint.

Just remember that it is 90% prep. (someone else`s ratio)/

Multiple coats of Natty`s on one of our cars (Sienna) is lasting a long time & slickness is much better then with PW. When I wash the Sienna, the water sheets off so well that my WW towel is barely wet. With 3 coats of PW on my car (paint beeds) is a very different story.

In the summer time Poorboys can`t be beat, although I have applied PW in the sun on a very warm day (not recommended by FK1) but had no problem removing it after 20 - 25 min.

Try both. What will you use under it?

I`d suggest you try PwC, FK1 #2180 sealant & top it with Natty`s :D Than every time you wash the car (hopefully weekly) add another layer of Natty`s (3 or 4) I`ll guarantee you that you`ll freak out when you touch/look at the paint.

If I remember off hand it was ssr2.5 #2180, PW

Thanks for your input guys. tdekany, after seeing your Jetta my decision is pink wax. Your car looks amazingly wet and the reflection is incredible. As far as whats going under it, my car is currently swirl free so I`ll prob just pass over the car with 1z metallic polish and p21s as the base coat then top it of with 3 coats of pink wax.

efinirx,

If I read tdekany`s post right, his Jetta picture is with Natty`s.

I wanted to see if FK1s claim was true about their products needing a few days to look their best. IT IS TRUE. :D

*** I noticed that the paint wasn`t slippery/slick at all after I dried the car. As the day went on it somehow got better, but definately not what I expected. I mean I can QEW the Sienna a couple of times and the pint is still very slick.

The Jetta has 3 coats of pink wax.

The Sienna has about 5 or 6 coats of Natty`s :D

"All Natty`s" followed by several different cars is misleading then. Clarify sir, clarify! :p

[edit] Ah, I see that you did. :up

You will like either product. Natty`s is easier to use since there is no appreciable wait to remove it. With PW, you have to wait 15 minutes, with Natty`s you can apply and remove a panel or two at a time.

Natty`s is a bit wetter, PW is a touch deeper.

My vote goes to the Pink Wax. I have both nattys and FK1 pink wax. While the Nattys is easier to remove then FK1 that doesnt make it a betetr wax IMO.

Hands down FK1 2180 sealant topped with FK1 pink wax exceeds in depth and shine to any product I have ever used. Its my favorite combo ever :)

I like Natty`s, easy to use and a very wet look, and very nice smell too. I like Pink, but it smells like hell and is not as easy to use. Pink probably will give better durabilty. Bottom line is both are pretty reasonably priced, so why not try them both. P21s is probably a compramise between them both, easy to use like Natty`s but nice shine like Pink.
