Beautiful NY spring day today. It was around 50* and Mostly sunny...perfect weather for detailing. The owner of this beautiful Camaro found me through Autopia and was looking to have some swirling removed.

The overall paint condition was very good. It was slick and shiny, but had a bunch of swirls taking away from its overall appearance. My final processes were:

-S+W to clean

-Clayed lower panels with PB clay and S+W

-Menzerna IP via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @1200rpm

-Menzerna PO106 via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @1200rpm

-Zaino Z2 by hand

-BnB on tires and in wells

-AIO on windows and rims

-Mother`s Metal Polish with #0000 on tailpipes

-GR-40 on trim

Wow, all of those curves, bumps, valleys, edges, and angles on that car produces unbelievable reflections. I`ll bet it really had you on your toes with that rotary!

Jason: You aren`t kidding. No sleepin on this one. I think this was the first car I preferred doing the doors over the hood and fenders.

Indeed...I am!!! :D

Another GORGEOUS detail Sean!!! :2thumbs: With all the painted urethane and bumps and valleys on that f-bod I am sure, as JDookie stated, the rotary detail was an "experience"!!!

Any idea what kind of mods he has?? With a 400HP crank rating he should be making around 340-350 at the wheels. :up

Is that Borla exhaust tips I`m seeing or the factory tips that just look like them?

I`m sure he`s got a few things in there. Check out the BFG Drag Radials in the rear.

Yep...Borla and BFG Drag`s for sure...

Edit...

Those might be Nitto DR`s...I can`t tell.

Nitto Drag Radials are correct.

I`m not exactly sure what he has, but I know intake and full exhaust. The car is very loud (Borla exhaust) and he told me he ran a 12.9 last summer for literally just driving on to the track and trying. Hopefully he`ll chime in here with a mod listing.

Awesome car.......Great detail Sean!

Love that color too!!

I just read today in GM High Tech Performance Mag that GM is possibly thinking of new Camaro Platform in 2007-2008!

We`ll see.:)

Nice results.

Well, I hope there is another camaro, but things are in turmoil at GM. We don`t even know if they will launch their Zeta architecture in `08 as planned, because they issued a statement saying it was cancelled early last week, then took back part of the statement and softened the rest of it the next day.

One can only hope that they will get their act together. Wow..drift and ramble at the same time!

Nice job Sean. When did you get back to NY..?

With 400hp and Nitto 555R`s, 12.9 sounds way off.....did he dyno it?

He should be in the high 11`s or low 12`s with 400hp....unless he`s not a very good driver.

Either way, with the SS hood, he probably has the ram air box for an intake, along with the full exhaust you mentioned. That alone should be more than enough to get into the 12`s in an LS1 with sticky tires....

Anyways, sorry for the rambling. Once again, good job w/the detail :)

Great job...I see that`s "Mako`s" car...Kooks headers, cats, and Borla plus some other bolt-ons.
