New to this whole serious detailing thing. Where would I get clay and what kind/brand should I go with?

Pretty much any of the suppliers has clay. DavidB and Autopia (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/detailingclay.html) would be a good place to start. Your local Auto parts places will have Meg`s, Mothers or Clay Magic.
If you search around you`ll find that everybody has his/her own favorite.
