on another board someone posted about using Pantene to wash cars-my response was that it was a dumb idea-that`s why manufacturers make car wash soaps-your opinions?

Sounds sort of stupid to me, too. Pantene is supposed to have amino acids that help strengthen the hair. Can`t see how that would help car paint, unless your car was furry .

Ounce for ounce I think Pantene would be more expensive than most premium car wash products. I wouldn`t want to use shampoo on a car even if it saved money.

Sounds good to me!

Oh! and remember to use Colgate Total to clean the grill, and condition the tyres with Herbal Essences to keep them smooth and shiny.

I wouldn`t risk my paint. I use car shampoo.

Ummm, NO!

Use Mega-Hold hair gel on the tires for good traction on the corners.

Oh my god! Yeah your car has split ends and needs protein for fullness.

Why would you spend $5 on hair shampoo and not car shampoo. All hair shampoos are the same.

I wouldn`t use Pantene... something like Aveda would be better - lots of pure plant extracts in it. ;)

Flip it round, would you use car shampoo on your hair ? :p

Maybe Head & Shoulders cures swirls and oxidation :nixweiss

wannafbody, jokes aside...car shampoo and hair shampoo share a lot of similar ingredients, with car shampoo being a bit more robust.

As was mentioned above, using Pantene would be more expensive per wash, and less cleaning power.

I see no case for it.
