Hi guys. How`s it going?.

I have a 01` PT Cruiser, it`s more of a custom car actually, and only a daily driver in the summer time, because it`s too low to drive in the NY weather. I don`t mind spending an entire day on my car. I always just washed it, polished it, then waxed it. But this season my car will be entered into more shows, so I really want it to be perfect.

I splurged, and bought myself a PC, but now I have absolutely no idea what to do next. I searched the forums, but I see so many different people suggesting different things, and i`m lost.

My car is a deep cranberry. It`s very dark, and it has very very minor scratches, and alot of swirl marks. Let me start by saying I already bought the Klasse Twins, and I bought a clay bar, and I bought Pinnacle Sov. liquid wax.

I guess my question is the steps I need to do, how many layers of what, what to do by hand, what to do with the PC, and most importantly, what pads to use on my PC to do what.

Like I said, I have searched the forums so many times to find my answers because I don`t want to seem like such a newbie, but upon searching, it seems people have different situations then mine.

Can someone explain the steps I need to take, from begining to end?. I know I need to wash my car, then clay.. from there, i`m lost lol. I want to be able to print out the suggestions you guys give, hang the paper in my gargage.. and follow along to the steps I get.

Thanks in advance!

Hi welcome :)

You probably don`t want to hear this, however you should read this http://autopia.org/kb/index.php?page=index_v2&id=26&c=16

that will give you everything you need to know on how to clean and polish your car to perfection.

However, that tutorial will not help you remove swirl marks but this one will

Hope this helps
