OK, first up some truly horrid pics. Apologies in advance for the links as I`ve still not got the hang of attaching images to posts - any advice gratefully received!

These were taken midway through a 600 mile round trip to the North of England last week (Yorkshire & Humberside) - scenery was superb but lack of traction less amusing :o

And these are some of the afters - GC shampoo, APC+ @ 4:1 in a weedkiller sprayer (idea borrowed from here) for wheelwells. No wax this week (already have Carlack, UPP 4* & Signature) and too cold to start stripping to test WG! Carlack holding up nicely as I hope pics will show. Tyres Z16

Now a couple of my GF`s Ford Ka - this was a few weeks back. Washed with Mothers CG shampoo, polish with VMW, SRP x 1 from memory (buy may be Carlack 68). Trim with 1Z Intensive, tyres UPP gel

And finally a few of my Peugeot 205. This was away at the bodyshop having a new door fitted and painted and they didn`t wash it as instructed. Washed, VMW x 2 & Carlack x 2. I had some real issues with the PC so eventually all by hand; may have been just too cold to try PC polishing :nixweiss

My fave - my Astra reflected in the rear 1/4 panel of my Paugeot

And lastly the repainted door. The reflection bottom left is the driveway.

Sorry for the long post - it`s been a busy weekend :D

Thanks Andy. Very nice improvement on the Astra. UPP works very well on silver. :)

I still cant make my mind up about the new Astras. You certanley cover some miles in that Astra. The after shots are lovely.

The 206 looks good, heres hoping for some dryer days so you can get some pleasure out of it.

205 is looking good Andy. Concours this year?

Interested that you went VM and then Carlack?

I have been using Carlack, then VM, then NXT or EX sealant and topping with wax?

I`ve posted at PSOOC about the spring meet Rich - can`t make it that weekend :( TBH I`m going to spend this year on getting her 100% mechanically - engine transplant should be happening within the next few weeks (will keep the original engine too), then suspension, brakes and hopefully some nice refurbed 1.9 wheels :)

I had a nightmare with my rotary and messed up the bonnet big time so for the South meet decided to give her a light polish by hand - hence the VMW. I then applied EX-P with a damp MF app and left it to haze but when I removed there were smears left which I couldn`t shift so I switched to Carlack and 2 layers seemed to sort the problem.

I really need to strip everything off and start again (why not?:D ) as I`ve yet to really work through the SSR levels and there`s some minor swirling which needs sorting too. Suspect I`ll be ordering a gallon of VMW too - I really cannot find another product which gives me the same results.

How are you doing with car (and garage) hunting?!

Looking good Andy.

PS - MSN won`t let you link directly which is why you are having to post links. Isn`t there a use gallery on here?

Cheers

Paul

Its looking good in the Pictures Andy.

Im sure there will be some scared show and shiners when they see you roll up in that. Keep at it, although it does be come a money pit. Good luck with the work, shame you wont be able to show her at the spring meet.

The car front is all sorted nicely now, thats all i can say at the mo!

OK you`ve convinced me Rich - I`ll S&S her once and that`s it for me. I guess I maybe have a problem with people I don`t know casting a critical eye over my car if I`m being brutally honest. If you were judging I`d have less of a problem - although we`ve never met your experience and results speak for themselves!

Then it`s into the workshop and the really hard work starts...
