My brother came over today, and I noticed that his headlights were hazed up. So I pulled out the Mothers Plastic Polish and my new MF applicators from ExcelDetail.

So here are the pics...

Mothers Plastic Polish applied by MF applicator, removed with a WalMart MF:

The headlight lenses were dirty, but you can tell that the plastic was not as clear as it should be.

The product applied very evenly, and came off with little effort. I like this product a lot. It doesn`t seem to have much of any real polishing ability (to remove scratches/swirls in the plastic) though. Just a good cleaning ability.

Paul - Most plastic polishes, ours included, can be like that without lots of buffing. Using it with a PC and a fairly soft pad (white Lake Country) or a device like our new PowerBall works wonders.

I used Mothers plastic polish with the New Mothers Power Ball and it really worked well, was a perfect combo.

If fact I ran out of things to polish, turned out so well and was kind of fun to use.

It seems like I would use far more product with the PowerBall though. The product would be asborbed by a far greater surface area than a MF applicator.

I thought about using the factory white pad for the PC, to do headlight polishing. Maybe that would work better?

Paul, I use an old orange LC polishing pad that I cut into hand sized pieces for plastic polishing.

Using Mothers Plastic Polish and my homemade applicators I`ve been able to remove most defects from plastic lenses, even some moderate scratches.

I finish with a normal foam applicator and Plasic Polish to bring up the clarity and shine.

That`s another idea...I have an orange LC VC pad that I don`t like (I don`t like the VC pads) so maybe I`ll just chop it up into custom applicators. I llike that idea! :)
