Got a call to do a brand new 2005 E200 Compressor. The paint was still in excellent condition except for a few small hairline scratches due to washing. Customer wanted the car to look "bright" rather than deep, wet looking, so i choose Zaino instead of souvern. He was very happy with the look. What suprised him was that there were gold flakes on his paint and Zaino was able to enhance that.

Steps.

Wash with Z7

Clay

FP2 with Rotary and white LC concave Pad at 1000RPM

AIO by Hand

3 Layers ZFX + Z2 by hand

AIO + Zaino on the wheels

Z16 on the tires.

I know the pic is small, but if you look carefully, you can see the gold flakes by the bumper area.

Dang! I see why the customer was happy with the look! Nice work!

I hear you on the effect of a good sealant like Zaino or UPP on metallic or pearl paint, they really emphasize the flake and give the paint some POP!

I bet that E200 looks stunning at sunset when the sun is low enough to reflect off the flake.

Beautiful detail! Do you detail out of the trunk of that "oldie"? Makes a handy storage place right next to the work area.
