Gracias Senor. I am becoming a big fan of this Aero-Clay stuff, I mean it really makes the paint sharp!

Hey, its all in the handling. The best looking car will not necessarily be the one with the most features (or dare I say form), but the one with the best handling and detail. Go to it.

BTW: The lumina should provide excellent and relatively trouble free transportation, so use it well and it should pay off dividends.

AutoNova: Do you really find that that liquid clay works as well as a traditional clay bar?

I haven`t used the liquid clay myself, but I have read a review or two, which questioned its effectiveness.

yes I think it is actually more effective when it comes to actually cleaning the paint, it won`t neccessarily remove heavy stuff like overspray but if cleans well and is actually somewhat fun to use. The only downside is you have to saok the sponge for 5 min in warm water so if your mobile that is tough.

how many average vehicles (about the size of that lumina) will a can of that do? Where can we find this stuff? I might just have to give it a try on my envoy when I finally get around to doing the first "full autopian detail" on it this spring since it isn`t really THAT dirty.

Can`t hurt, worst that can happen is I go back over it with a regular claybar. :xyxthumbs

Geez, that interior was rough! Looks a lot better and the paint looks great! Beside the Aero-clay, what other steps and products were required?

I know how you feel when you get cars like that. Right after washing a BMW 745Li, Ford Expidition and a Rolls Royce Phantom, I had that nasty Cavalier (the one with the horrible interior) to wash. Since I detailed the inside, she has me wash and vacuum it about once a month when I am their office. No new stains but the amount of trash and debris I remove from it each time is astounding!

I did the interior first to allow tiwme for it to warm up outside.

I used compressed air to blow the car out and then vaccumed it.

Then I sprayed the carpet down with a fine misting of APC 15:1.

After that i used my steamer and went over the carpets and the front 2 seats.

Then I used my LGCM and spayed a light mixture of Zep/water and vaccumed it up.

I cleaned the interioir with APC and the Meg`s interior brush then dressed it with #40.

Onthe outside I cleaned the wheels with wheel brightener Meg`s brushes and a #0000 steel wool, dressed with hyper. I also used the Magic Eraser wheel cleaner(it sucks)

Washed the exterior with Hyper wash, using a bug sponge along the runner boards and wheel wells and front bumper, then used the Meg`s Body Brush to wash.

Used the Aero-Clay on hood, roof, trunk then waxed with PwC.
