well i had the chance to visit the brisbane Motor show (in Aus) yesterday. the first time i`ve been to a car show since becoming an obsessed autopian... well lets see the cars that were there. i got behind the ropes at the lambo stand (great knowing the right people) so i got to sit in the mercialargo (spanish - meh) and fiddle with the f1 gear shifters :D:D:D. it was black and had many many many swirls... so that left me a bit underawed. :(

next it was onto lindsey fox`s private ferarri collection. this guy is a champ - check this out - he has a 288 GTO (i think that the model...) and an F40 And an F50 AND an Enzo.... man... i love those cars.... F40 the most! but anyway back to my rant, each of these cars had swirls :( the GTO was the worst (being the oldest) but even the brand spanking new Enzo had Swirls!!!!

anyway - some piccys

this is the GTO with some obvious swirling around the badge

and heres the Enzo (with yellow roof and all (yuck)) sorry - couldn`t get close enough to get swirling in piccy - just aswell though...

and heres the lambo i got to sit in, again wrong angle for swirls but i wasn`t really concerned about that at the time.

Liam,

You are definately suffering autopiaitis. I find myself feeling panels of cars in car parks, new car showrooms etc and thinking "hmm could do with a good claying"

Anyway I am off the Motor Show On Thursday evening, looking forward to it.

Cheers

Dave.

Hahahahahahaha, I find myself looking at cars everday on the way to work, and in the rising morning sun, some of them look plain terrible - particularly darker coloured metallics. I then start mentally deciding what I would attack it with first! LOL

Definitely some nice cars there Liam, but sometimes the "autopian eye" can ruin ( well at keast a little bit ) what is a great experience for less discerning people who just appreciate the car for what it is and not sit there nit picking the paint condition.

I was going to the MMS next month, but work commitements have killed that idea unfortunately :(

Urban I must give you a buzz very soon, find out if those OXO brushes are still available and work out postage cost

Pity about MMS B2, what about FPV weekend?

Hope your getting paid well for all that hard work your doing

I am basically doing the same thing with you all. I am more concerned with the quality of the finish, swirl marks rather than the models of the cars.
