I have some swirls on the Buick that need to be addressed. Which of these would be a good choice for the factory laquer paint?

Only the SSR1 will actually remove the marring, and it might be too mild. While lacquer cuts pretty easily (being much softer than b/c paints) you still need to use an abrasive to remove marring. Which product will depend on how severe the marring is and, per usual, how hard the paint is. I`d probably use 3M PI-III MG (05937) on it, so the SSR2 might be a good choice. I`ve had to use some pretty aggressive products on black GM lacquer.

Once you get the flaws out (or at least a lot better), you can use something like the AIO or the BF, but I myself treat "old school paints" with "old school products" such as the Meguiar`s "pure polishes". If it were mine, I`d probably use something like Meg`s #5/#3/#81/#7 (in the order I prefer them) topped with Souveran. But the synthetics *will* provide a lot more protection, especially if you`re gonna park it in the sun.
