I read the PDF catalog of 3M PI 3000 from the 3M website. It`s stated 3M PI 3000 Swirl Remover is replacing the previous 3M PI III Machine Glaze.
Has anyone tried PI 3000 SR? Does it leave the same finish as the MG? It was stated it`s VOC complaint.
Anyone?

ummm, let me correct that, it`s 3M Perfect-It 3000 Swirl "MARK" Remover (SMR).
Anyone tried and compared it to 3M PI-III MG?

Does it mean nobody uses the 3M Perfect-It 3000? or at least none yet?

I havent used it yet, but I will keep an eye out for it. I love trying and comparing new products, and have used the Machine Glaze in the past. I love the machine glaze, it works great. especially after first using #83. Makes work so much easier, you have more options to quit early and lsp or to go another step for extra gloss...

not necessarily but if you have already used the 3M PIII RC before im sure the formula isnt that different..
I have the Machine Glaze and i think it works better than the SMR. But i do use that with a rotory. I have also used the RC,MG,FG,IHG, FI and im soon to be getting the trizact formula.

Somebody *did* try the P3000 stuff and their preliminary take on it was that it`s very good stuff, maybe better than the PI-III MG (though I don`t remember/know what was better about it).
I`m waiting for a few reviews, no big hurry for me as I still have a lot of MG and I hardly ever polish these days.
6`][`9- See how you like the Trizact stuff. A guy I know used it until I had him try the MG (05937), which he *greatly* preferred. He hasn`t used the Trizact since.

yeah but my main concern here is the effect of reformulating MG to develop the new SMR in order to comply with the VOC regulations, I wonder if there were any significant difference, such as adding fillers, petrol, etc. or even the surface finish...
At any rate, I just hope the PI-3000 would have the same performance (or even better) as the products they replace...

No fillers according to 3M Customer Service.

So that means this new 3M PI 3000 SMR is very very different from the old 3M SMR which has fillers? Since this PI3000 SMR is just a reformulated 3M MG.
I guess this could create some confusion since they`re both named SMR.
Any update? any one who have tried the 3000 line this time?
