I have a white early 90s Acura that I will be detailing soon, with the hopes of grabbing other customers from it, so my question is, what would everyone recommend to really make white look nice? Vanilla Moose?

Also the paint is in pretty rough shape, lots of pits, swirls, scratches, etc.

Here is a short list I am compiling, for what to use, tell me what else I need and if I should drop anything.

Clay

Megs #9 for swirls

PB`s SSR 1,2,3

What should I use for a polish?

Also are there any Autozone/Advance Auto Parts waxs/pastes that you would recommend that would do a good job. (The reason I ask is that the customer would like the job to be done fairly soon, and I worry about whether or not everything will arrive.

Thanks

Well if that`s the order of application you listed, there`s a problem there. Using any of the SSRs after #9 will clean out the fillers left by #9. I`d just use 2 or 3 or the SSRs and leave out the #9.

Copied from a thread on white paint from yesterday because it was easier than typing all this again....

My recommendation is to use my current combo, which is Klasse AIO + FourStar UPP + Pinnacle Paste Glaz.

I can also tell you that GEPC + EX-P + Paste Glaz looks nice on white.

AIO + UPPx3 + Paste Glaz... (AIO by PC, EX-P/PG by hand)

It`s up to you, but remember process is as important (or more) than the products.

You can find NXT liquid and paste at local stores, so that`s probably what I would use if I was restricted to buying from local stores.

I would highly recommend using dedicated paint cleaners as the first step in your process. Followed by your favorite polish. Topped with your favorite wax.

Thanks guys,

Both of those combos above look nice, the second one really seems to glow!
