I only use 1 ww to dry cars, just keep wringing them out but I go through quite a few regular detailing towels (wheels, doorjams, etc.) and plush mf towels.

Thank you all for your responses. I can now sleep well because the dozen 16" x 16" MFs I ordered is just about right. :bounce

Claying while washing is a new concept for me. I guess I could get away with just Mother`s Car Wash (mixed with water, of course) instead of Meg`s Final Inspection as lube for the clay bar. I still won`t clay while washing for fear of water spots forming while I`m busy claying but thanks anyway for the money-saving tip! :xyxthumbs

1SLOW50, I manage to dry my car with just 1 waffle-weave towel when drying - no wringing too! I use the Big Blue II drying towel (26" x 36") from CMA.

pugoman, you really are a Very Obsessed Detailer! 1 per panel? And that`s per polish too, right? So about a dozen per polish? Whoa! :scared What kind of MFs do you use per task?

I`ll probably use about 3 MFs per polish for the whole car: 1 for the hood, 1 for the roof and trunk and 1 for the sides. So if I have

Menzerna IP -> Menzerna FP -> Klasse AIO -> Klasse SG

I will need 9 MFs in all! Good thing I`ll buff off Klasse SG 24 hours later so I can use the same MFs I used for Klasse AIO.

The other 3 can go to wax removal (which isn`t often) and QD with Mother`s Showtime Instant Detailer after every wash (about 2-3 times a week).
