Hey guys just wondering if you have any links to good books that are out about paint polishing/reconditioning?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I know there are several books at Amazon.com about detailing and such. I recently ordered Car Hacks and Mods for Dummies from that site. That book has a chapter on detailing, but it doesn`t explain much that you wouldn`t know already, being a member here.

There were other matches though, so I`d check Amazon and see if any of those books are what you`re looking for.

I agree....spend your time researching all the relevant posts, then practice, practice, practice. Any money you were going to drop on books can now be spent on supplies!

Meguiar`s puts out a video on paint defect removal. Good place to start for only $10.

I have a copy of this, and I`m not sure if it has anything in it which you couldn`t find on here. Plus all the pictures are black and white which aint so good. Still it only cost $12 so it`s still worth a look..!!

The David Jacobson book on Detailing Projects is fairly good.

For beginners, I also recommend the Detailing Handbook from Griots.

The best though is the above link for David`s Autopia ebook and anything on www.bettercarcare.com. Wish the updates were more frequent. :)

Ok guys thanks a lot. I have David`s book, it is very good. I was just wanting to see if there were different techniques but I have put a lot of bettercarcare onto hardcopy, which is very handy.
