I got some of the new HomeTex brand MF towels from Sam`s Club today. 18 for $10. Not too shabby.

Color: Light blue 16" by 16"

Feel: Very Soft, 70/30 consruction, no tags!, decent hem on each edge. Chinese manufacture.

Use: Seems to work well for wax removal and engine details based on some garage work I did today. Very good for window cleaning on the cheap.

Bottom line: A nice addition and value for Sam`s members. Seems as good and a bit softer than the previous yellow towels. Nothing to give the specialty guys any trouble but at approx. $0.55 per towel this could be a luxury all-purpose shop towel.

SilverLexus,

How would you rank these microfibers? Seems like they are thin and soft microfibers? I like blue :D

Lee, you need more microfiber like you need more chemicals, LOL.

Sam`s Club, as in Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart, is a major discount warehouse retailer in the US (and possibly Canada?)

I bought a pack of these towels a few months ago and found them to work well on interiors and other non-painted areas. I just don`t like them on glass because they seem to live lint behind, even after washing. But for the price, they can`t be beat.

Have you tried wax removal? They work on that also.

"you need more microfiber like you need more chemicals"

So true, but I could not resist a $10 value. :)

LOL, thanks for the heads up. If I get any more mf towels, though, I`ll have to get another $100 cabinet to put them in! (And you KNOW the next time I`m there I`m getting a pack!)

I have the yellow ones, and they are TERRIBLE for linting!!

I have demoted those for wheel and engine duty!!

I have the yellow ones and have no problems with linting. How do you wash them?

The blue seem to lint less. I use the yellow ones for interiors, and dirtier work (doorjambs). Some of my yellow ones are really stained, and at that price I do not hesitate to use them for just about anything. I buy a pack or two everytime I am at Sams.:)

No problem.

I do agree that the blue ones are linting less but that was never a huge concern with the yellows since I washed them in MicroRejuvenator or Wunder Wasche initially.

Hmm...I will need to get a pack next time I`m at Sam`s. I need some cheap MF towels to replace some from Target.

Greg,

These are much better than the Target towels. I have some of those as well.
