As mentioned in my other thread I have a new car. I want a totally matt interior dressing and preferrably fragrance free. All I have at present is 1Z Cockpit Premium - very good product IMO but I`m not a big fan of the smell.

Any suggestions?

1Z is said to be the most flat product out there. I`ve not used it personally, so I can`t comment.

However, 303 really doesn`t add much of a shine, and the smell is not offensive at all. So, that has been my product of choice. I`ve been really happy with the performance.

What about PB`s Natural Look? I`ve heard that it has a nice matt finish.

Natural Look is pretty sheen, but I`ve found it doesn`t last too long on the interior. I think I will go for Viinylex when my NL runs out.

Vinylex does have a SLIGHT sheen. I`ve found that it attracts a tad more dust than 303 as well. But, overall, it is a nice product and a good option.

303 and NL as said before are nice, but I also like Wolfgang. Nice even finish, almost looks like NL, smells of coconut, has pretty good durability and it isnt a dust magnet which I like.

Wolfgang has a very nice matte finish...almost as matte as 1Z CP. It has a pleasant smell to me, but every nose is different...I prefer the smell of Wolfgang to the smell of CP. CP was my interior QD until I tried Wolfgang.

From what I`ve read it sounds like the new Sonus Cockpit product is a bit shinier than CP or Wolfgang...probably close to 1Z TP.

NL is very nice, but has quite a bit more shine than Wolfgang or CP on my dash - every dash is different.

I have tried 3M, NL, 1Z CP & TP, Megs Natural Shine (super glossy), NXT Tech Protectant (too greasy), Armor All (too shiny) and 303. 1Z CP & Wolfgang are my favorite dressings. I used to use 1Z TP monthly & CP weekly, but after finding Wolfgang I`m set...at least until I use up my 2 bottles.

Try buffing it down really well with a high-quality MF towel. I did this and it lowered the sheen to a nice matte finish and dust is practically non-existent nearly a week and a half after application. :xyxthumbs

I have tried the 303 and I would say it has a pretty matt finish. Now I only use it for my engine. I personally like Vinylex because I like a little shine on my vinyl & dash. I tried 2 of the meguire`s products and they were ok but did not last very long.

Try a damp MF and no dressing. Looks very clean and new but does not offer any UV protection, some people like it a lot.

Also, you can try just watering down a water based dressing .

Thanks as usual guys!

Think I`ll stay with the 1Z for now but maybe leave the doors open for longer or something to disperse the fragrance of the CP.

Andy, since you are in the UK, go to your local BMW dealer and buy a bottle of their spray on emulsion, it is the flattest, odour free, dust repellent product I have used. There is a part no. it is 83129407769, you won`t be dissapointed.

Here are my favorite matte dressings:

1. Sonus

2. Wolfgang Vinyl & Rubber

3. 1Z Cockpit Premium

4. 303 Aerospace Protectant

All highly recommended. :xyxthumbs

Natural look has a pretty strong fruit smell. I personally liked it, but others thought it smelled like medicine.

My vote goes to either 303 or wolfgang.
