When I tried Poorboys QD+ last summer I wasn`t impressed with the product. As a QD it was difficult to work with. It behaved like a spray wax not a QD, being difficult to spread and rub in and remove.

Sooooo . . . last week I tried applying it as a wax with a PC & finishing pad. Car was clean but needed a little "pizzaz".

BINGO ! What a shine. :bounce

This time, with the machine, I was able to spread it thinly and evenly, and as you would imagine it removed quite easily. (With a little more effort than removing a waxed that has hazed).

Hopefully the photo will show the impressive shine. I`ve become a fan of yet another product !

Has anyone else tried applying it this way?????

Autogeek had a special on it some time ago and the gallon was $25. I went out on a limb and bought it without ever having tried it. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use and the results that it gave. In an hour and a half, I can wash and wax a Tahoe sized SUV, grab my money and go. It makes a nice "booster" but doesn`t have the durability as a stand alone LSP. Smells good too.;) For application, I spray it onto a MF applicator (4X6) and then apply it to the surface. It`s easy to apply a thin coat this way which makes it dry faster and easy to remove.

thats what i do.. apply it with a microfiber pad, do the whole car, then go back over the whole car with a microfiber towel. the shine is really good... i wouldnt use the qd+ to remove dirt though, only after washing the car, as a wax booster, or a wash n wax

I use it with a mf app. and mf towel for removal but I can imagine it would be good with a pc just like gw in a spray bottle and a pc.

I like the results too but find it just as easy (or easier) to apply a real LSP like S100 or Natty`s.

Dr Groove,

How much did you apply to the pad? Were you able to work it on the surface a little?

RCBuddha - I applied it sparingly. I don`t have my QD+ in a spray bottle so I dabbed 5 or 6 times around the edge of a LC finishing pad.

Yes, I did a section at a time, fender, door, etc., and worked it for, oh I guess, 30 seconds. Where I was able to apply a real thin layer it removed about as easily as P21s.

As I said I was impressed with this method of application and the results.
