Fellow Autopians,

Do you guys take special precautions when doing a car that have decals, airbrush or carbon fibre hoods on them? Or do you just detail them like any other car?

I am just afraid that if i use a rubbing compound like Menzerna IP, the decals can peel off.

I have not had issues, tread lightly.

BTW, maybe some of those SHOULD come off, LOL

I personally only use the really mild polishes like FP or AIO or VM on vinyl graphics, and try not to be too aggressive near the edges.

So i suppose if there are medium scratches, i just cant do much with them because of danger to the decals. That probably limit my choice only to the white pad and using hand for applying polish like AIO.

Yes, I do use special precautions when detailing cars with decals or painted airbrush. I would never recommend using any type of rubbing compound or even an aggressive polish on areas where there are decals or painted airbrush. It is much safer to only use either a carnauba or polymer wax.

So basically if the car have tons of scratches, there is nothing much i can do to remove them other than just topping them off with Carnuba Wax.

Does anybody know if those decals will have an effect on Zaino Bonding?
