Here is what my car was looking like halfway through detailing it the other day. This is after polishing and before waxing and dressing.

Process:

got it washed at the local Cactus Car Wash

Clay Magic clay bar

SSR 2.5

SSR 1

S100 x 2

Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber on all seals, trim, tires, wheel wells, and engine

The white blobs are light issues, the scratch is real and nasty.

Am I correct in thinking this is an example of orange peeling? How can I get rid of it if it is?

Yes I notice some orange peel in your car. My Max has plenty of it too, as do nearly all cars out there.

the back half of the door looks like it has some light hazing (first pic). Did you not completely remove the product? Or is there some hazing left from the SSR1?

BTW, :welcome to Autopia

Hey, looking nice man. A couple questions, though.

What are the following:

SSR 2.5

SSR 1

S100 x 2?

If that`s only mid detailing, that`s going to be a pretty sweet end product. I live in Atlanta, too (What school are you going to?). I have a gift card to Cactus that I can`t wait to use. They do amazing jobs there. Good luck with finishing up.

the SSR line is Poorboy`s Super Swirl Remover line of polishes. In order of abrasiveness: SSR3, SSR2.5, SSR2, SSR1.

S100 is a carbauba wax.

bullfrog: You could but it would take an immense amount of work and the risks would outweigh the rewards.

Outside of that, :xyxthumbs
