How long have you been in business? Are you fixed, mobile or a weekend warrior?

I guess I`m an all-week warrior. I do details anyday of the week if I have the time. If a customer says that they can only make the appointment on a weekday, I try my best to make enough time on that particular day.

I`ve been detailing other peoples` cars now for about a year.

A serious weekend warrior for almost 2 years now. I do most jobs mobile but some clients prefer to drop them off at my place as well.

full time since 2002 All mobile, and just starting to expand into some other services and markets. I am actually going to be hedging back from personally being working full time as the president, and my VP is going to be running more of the daily routine. I will still be out there doing what i love every opportunity that i can get!!

As you have been in service for a couple of years, will it not be a great concern to your clients that you now allow your `VP` to do their cars, and not yourself?

only been detailing others cars for a few months but every car that i have done the client has called me back the next day to tell me about how great of a job i did and that they will tell everyone they know. quite a bit of people know the type of job i do and am picking up jobs a few at a time. i am working on incorporating my own mobile detailing business and once i gather the courage to take the plunge i will be doing it full time while going to college for business management (3rd year entrepreneurship concentration). any tips that anyone has on what you did during this phase that would help me out please feel free to share.

Shaun-the best tip would be to go through this forum thoroughly. Tons of great information in here.
