98 silverado: Indiglo blue with EX

its my parents truck. i went down to Utah for christmas break (ahhh a nice three weeks without college) becasue they moved down there about three months ago. They moved becasue they bought a Midas Automotive down there which is why i am sportin the midas uniform in one of the pics:) the process was IP with light cut pad, FPII with polishing pad, then EX x2 by hand. 4star tire gel mixed 1/3 with 303 on the tires.



the salt mixture they put down on the roads down there is horrible. sorry the lighting isn`t the best but damn, i really think it turned out great. i really love EX on a nicely prepped surface and a dark paint.

i love this last pic, it shows the great depth of EX. the midas sign is about 30 ft up in the air and 500 ft away from the truck.

thank you guys.. and the pin stripes, they are painted on freehand. so umm, removing those would be quite the job! haha

oh yeah, just because i think its cool, its a 98 Heavy Duty 3/4 ton in a short box with the extra cab and a 7.4 vortec 454 big block. we had to wait 6 months for this truck. there was only 3 in the us when we went to order one. only 60K on it now. the dealers really love us when we drive in and they find out what it is with how many miles... i love this thing!
