View Full Version : #82 Safe For Wheels?

I have some scratches and maybe some etching on my wheels. I was gonna try and use some #82 or ScratchX Follwed by AIO Then SG. Should that work and are those products safe for wheels?:confused:

If they are clear coated wheels than you treat them just as you would treat your paint. You will need to use an abrasive to remove the scratches and etching. #82 is very mild and might do the trick. If not you can move up to the Scratch X. You will probably have to do several applications to remove the defects. Than follow with AIO and SG.

If that is clear coat you can try #82 . It won`t hurt. In fact it probably wont be aggressive enough. You will probably need a stronger product like 3M Perfect It III Rubbing Compound.



If the wheels are not clear coated you will need a metal polish.
