has anyone ever used one of these? i just bought one today from harborfreight and it seems a little fast to buff with?

I bought mine from there and took it back the first time I used it. I couldn`t stand it. I am so glad I picked up my Makita; well worth the money for sure!

i`ve used it before...its pretty good...ull find it nice and easy to control.

Depends on which one you bought. I know they have a two speed model that may be a bit too fast, but there is also a variable speed (1000 - 3000 rpm) model 46507 that should be OK speed wise. These are often on sale for around $25.00.

You`ve got to remember that you get what you pay for, and for any serious rotary work a Makita, DeWalt, etc. would be the smart choice.

ahh, its only 25 bucks. im going to try it anyways. i like the dewalt. thats what i use at work.

It`s almost worth $25 just using it to spin your PC pads dry after washing them. When you pick one up repost on how well it works in comparison to the DeWalt you use at work.
