Anyone ever top AIO/SG with #16?

I`m in the process of finishing my wife`s Indigo Blue `01 Suburban with an AIO/SG session, and was wondering if anyone has ever topped that combo with Meguiar`s #16?



I know Scottwax has mentioned topping AIO with #16, but didn`t know if #16 on top of AIO/SG was just `autopian overkill`.......not that there`s anything wrong with that, of course! :xyxthumbs

I`ve topped AIO + SG + Natty`s with #16 with excellent results. #16 is a great wax.

SG to top AIO has, counter-intuitively, a mixed rep.

Thanks for the feeback.....I think I`m going to top the SG with a coat of #16. Of course, now it`s rainy and cold here in NC, so I won`t be able to get pics until tomorrow.



Do I have to wait 24 hours for the SG to cure? Or can I just add the #16 right now?

Wait for it to cure and get more SG on there (like a coat after every wash for the next few washes) before you top it. I used to top my AIO+SG with #16- it worked fine and improved the look. I quit doing it as I prefer to just add more SG from time to time.



IMO you should have (at least) three coats of SG before you top it. That`ll give plenty of protection after the #16 goes away and will also stand up to gentle spot-claying.
