I am about 30 mins into polishing my car with SSR 2.5, and I notice that on the pad I am using that there is some dried product on it around the outer portion of the pad that touches the paint. Is this still safe to use?

thanks!

I`d remove the dried polish. You can try rubbing some more product into the dried areas and then wiping it with a towel. Or just wash it and squeeze it dry (I don`t recommend spinning it dry as it might fly off and get into something dirty).

Generally, it`s not good to rub dried polish into your paint.

get a nylon brush and brush the dry residue off

You can wash it and then spin dry inside a bucket.

~One manâ€â„¢s opinion / observations

A word of caution when using foam pads, check the pad face for residue build-up, when loaded with dried product they have an abrasive action that could be detrimental to the paint finish. Clean residue from pads often with a soft horsehair brush, nylon or metal may damage the foam

~Hope this helps~
