Ok, I washed and clayed and then washed again. I then polished with FPII and the applied AIO. Problem is a ran out of time to apply SG!!!! Now I have to leave on a five day trip. My question is: when I come back in five days will I need to AIO again before I apply SG?? The car will be in the garage the entire time that I`m gone. What do you guys think?

not if it is garaged. You can wipe it off with what ever QD you have

Yup, either QD or wash your vehicle when you come home, and you`re set. Heck, that`s how most people layer SG. 1st coat one week, next week do a wash, and add another coat for best results. Enjoy!:xyxthumbs

Washing won`t remove some of the AIO?

No, because when you wash in 5 days all you really will need is a "rinse" since its going to be garaged... This is what Poorboys S & W excels at... You have any of that?

www.poorboysworld.com will lead the way to Spray N Wipe. You don`t want to QD with something that has ANY protection as I believe that it will interfere with the SG bonding.

EDIT: for weblink

Poorboy`s Spray and Wipe is an excellent product and would work great in your case.

A light wash shouldn`t make any difference, and if you`re topping with SG anyhow I wouldn`t worry about it. Just wash it as gently as you can and do the SG.

Should I use shampoo or just rinse with plain water?

You don`t have to worry about whether AIO will still be on the car. SG can be applied to cars that are clean and free of oils and waxes.

You can qd your car after 5 days in the garage as long as no one`s blowing around sand in there or anything like that. If qd is not available, i`d just do a wipe with a slightly damp towel. Just apply sg whenever you can get around to it.

*I* would use some shampoo due to the increased lubricity over plain water. Don`t want to mar things at this point!
