am a newbie as far as pc 7424 but i am happy with mine. everything you need to take car of your vehicle is included in the kit you mentioned. all you need now are the proper waxes, polishes, clay bars, and microfibrer bonnets. do not forget to get MF towels also. there is also the detail spray, spray and wash, booster wax and whatever else that you will end up reading about in this forum. i have the bug and have it bad. but my vehicle has never looked better!

Go to Lowes and buy the Porter Cable 7336SP for $99.99. Same exact machine except the 7336SP has a 6" weight versus the 7424`s 5". Also saves you $30 (hey, it is three Sonus DAS pads).
