I purchased a used Suburban from a private party. Apparently, the seller used something (shoe polish perhaps?) to write "For Sale" on the back and side windows. Now, whenever moisture gets on the windows we can see "for sale". Is it etched into the window? I should note that when the windows are dry, it can`t be seen. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Taylor

You might want to try the Diamondite or Detailer`s Pride products from Autogeek.

I would try some sort of glass polish. There is probably some kind of residue left on the glass which attracts/repels moisture differently than the clean glass.

You may want to go and get yourself a container of `Bar Keepers Friend`. It is usually available at most discount stores and even some food stores sell it. Here`s a link for more info: http://www.barkeepersfriend.com/products.htm

The 1Z Glas Polish works well and isn`t too aggresive.

When we raced our 67 El Camino, we used to write on the window with shoe polish...Mothers Chrome Polish safely removed it after the races...

That is good, or you can use Bon Ami powder. This stuff really works!
