Hi to all, I`m the new guy and I have a problem

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My wife parked the family car (95 Dodge Grand Caravan) white in color by the way, too close to the water sprinklers and down here in Florida I heard they use well water to water the lawn. Now the car is nastly stained with this rusty colored haze (not sure what it is or what it`s called) all over the front end. I`ve washed the car twice at the car wash to try and remove the stuff to no avail. I went to WalMart looking for some thing to polish it off, but all the products waxes and polish products claim to remove swirls and renew the finish, but none specified about this kind of damage.

Does anybody know what could be done to remove this stuff?

I was told about this Clay Bar Kit made by Mother`s and I found it at the local auto parts store but wanted a professional opinion before I did anything I would regret later.

Thanks for any help!

Clay wont harm anything if used right but probably wont get that out. You can try a paint cleaner like p21s or s100.

If that doesn`t help, You need to polish soon so you don`t let it sit in too long. Menzerna final polish is my favorite it`s risk proof, if you need something more aggresive than this I`d pay a pro. It would cost around 100 bucks just to remove, then you can seal and wax yourself. Clay first, paint cleaner, then try menzerna FPII or something thats a light duty polish. If you had a good couple of coats of Zaino on that baby you could have just wiped that off.

Try adding vinegar to the wash bucket and see if it removes the spots.
