Immediately. Factory paint is baked on at a high temperature which cures it quickly.

Only on aftermarket paint/repair jobs do you have to give the paint curing time, this is due to the lower baking temperatures that are used so that your plastic and rubber parts don`t melt!

On a brand new car, as Scott says, you can get down to some detailing straight away!

Congrats on the purchase...my dad has a 04 TL and its a great looking car. On a side note, just curious is how you have a TT Supra, 05 TL, and lex Rx 300 and then a Ford Focus?? The focus is what is throwing me off alittle. (Not saying its bad thing to own a focus, it doesnt seem to flow with your current array of cars)

I have an 04 Porsche C4S (07/04, 240 miles) in the shop over the weekend. Still has marks from the wrapguard, and a disgusting amount of swirls.

We`ll doclay, Menzerna/PC/finishing foam, AIO/SG (x2), and p21s (p21s later in the week).

I like to wait a month before waxing anything new. Many have stated that you can wax modern paint almost immediately after curing, but I like to give new paint time to dry and harden a bit before wax.

2004 (07-04 build) Porsche C4S.

This Car has 240 miles. The owner picked it up in Cincinnati Saturday morning and essentially drove it straight to my shop!

I`m lucky enough to do some very nice cars, but this was a real treat! Plus, I took it as a real compliment that the client would leave his NEW car with me overnight - Saturday night, no less.
