did this detail on a sl55amg with maya (20`s) wheels... sick car... client is a good guy as well. anyways, this car hasnt been washed since he last drove it.. which i have no idea when that was, but i do wash his other cars for him for the past year, and have not washed this one at all.. so i wonder how long its been sitting in the garage unwashed??? as it turns out, after the wash and clay (car was filthy, covered in black dust and sand???), that the car had minor swirls if not any which i attribute to never being washed. lol. i received my first shipment of poorboys products, so if u think the ssr1, and pwc may seem redundant, its because it was just trying the pwc out, i dont think i really needed it after using the ssr1 though. well the process:

exterior:

-nxt car wash

-mothers gold clay

-poorboys ssr 1 via rotary @ 1500 w/ sonus green pad

-poorboys pwc via rotary @ 1500 w/ sonus blue pad

-poorboys ex by hand

-poorboys nattys by hand

-poorboys bnb on tires

interior:

-oxiclean on carpets

-poorboys natural look on everything on dash, consoles, as well as on leather seats

-1z glass cleaner on glass

Sweet car, and detail! Ouch, to that bent rim too. I think you will continue to find poorboys products to be excellent products.

General Lee: thanks.. i`m hoping that i will like poorboys products... ive been trying different products for awhile now, including, menzerna, meguairs, 1z, klasse, wolfgang, p21s, sonus, and others, and im tired of it. poorboys are yielding good results not to mention they are located within a couple of hours of me which is a benefit. do u think exp would have looked better than the ex?

gav`spurplez: thanks

I`ve found EX-P to look great on white and silver. Never tried EX though, so I can`t really compare the two.

That looks sweet man! I`ve been waiting to see a picture of EX on silver. I love EX-P on silver and I think the EX looks great too!

He he, well I cross posted over on DC too

Ah, you didn`t get to detail the Ceramiclear paint IIRC ( on `04s and up) which was a big PITA to do and I didn`t get it all the defects out.

That rim has gotta hurt  :scared $1000 bucks down the drain! :p But, if you can afford that car, who cares about a bent 20" rim like that!

Reminds me of when I bent my rim. I closed my eyes and pretended when I opened them, the rim would be fine!

Nice work though!! :xyxthumbs

Was the paint bad enough that it required a rotary? I`ve been using my Makita, but for the life of me, can`t seem to help but introduce holograms that I need my PC to take out.

Again, sweet ride and nice detail

mtodde: you`re lucky then, cause i was actually gonna use exp as i hear its better for light colored cars, but i accidently started using the ex, and before i realized it, it was too late, so i kept going @ it with ex. damn ex and exp... im knew to the poorboys sealants tho, so soon i`ll be able to tell them apart by color (is the darker one ex, and the ligher exp? :D)

Bill D: yeah i noticed your cross post.. i was wondering if i should copy and paste what i wrote here.. didnt feel like it tho.. guess i lucked out on the ceramiclear.. lucky me right? not to mention it was silver.. id really like to do a dark car.. if this sl55amg was black? damn.. i think i would have hid it somewhere and not give it back to the owner

C-westin`FD: thanks... i notice u have a is300 5speed? any recent detailed pics? i love those cars for some reason.. especially the 5speed
